Just an update on the days out of touch,
We had stayed overnight in Aus, a small post beside the Namib desert, about 100k from Luderitz. The history of this post dates to the boer war when the troops hid in the hills to ambush the oncoming troops. The old stone walls are still intact. The incredible thing is that the tourism is so low that it all seems untouched. We spent the day driving out to Luderitz, a fishing port on the Atlantic ocean where the sand dunes plunge into the cold ocean…incredible, we also visited an old diamond mining town abandoned in the 1940s,,
