Rockwood Pavillion
This building was planned to replace an aging multi-purpose facility that was home to the Festival of the Written Arts. Located within extensive gardens, the building is intended to follow the natural contours of the land and blend in by using natural elements and colours. A simple form with exposed timber structural elements was proposed with a large glass wall to allow the outdoor spaces to flow inside. The building was planned to house a large meeting facility and provide sleeping units that could be used for retreats and workshops.
