The Restaurant at Painted Boat Resort Spa and Marina
This waterfront site was the former location of the former Lowes Resort nestled amongst the trees along the spectacular Sunshine Coast. The natural beauty of the trees is reflected in the timber posts, which carry the decks out into the water. The design incorporates wood into the structures, both inside and outside, and is an important material in the buildings exterior. The language of the old fishing structures, docks, and pilings are reflected in the newly completed resort, giving patrons a unique experience as the tides rise and fall. The flat gravel covered roof blends into the landscape allowing the surrounding units to have a clear view to the ocean.
