Looking Glass Centre for Eating Disorders

This Centre for young adults with eating disorders was planned for a secluded five acre parcel located between a serene creek and treed surroundings. The building were planned to avoid an institutional feeling by creating a series of smaller pavilions connected with a covered walkway. A “walking journey” was planned to allow new residents to slowly make their way through the pathway into the main pavilion. Sleeping quarters were planned to accommodate up to 20 individuals, and a series of therapy spaces, both inside and outside were planned. The master plan was developed to allow workshops, stables, and exercise facilities to be developed over time.
