Marine Drive Condominiums
This unique project was planned in association with Teryl Mullock Architect, for a waterfront site on the harbour in Gibsons. The steep topography and size of the site presented a number of challenges, from parking and circulation to contruction techniques. The building was designed with a pedestrian corridor through the middle allowing the public access to the waterfront as well as residents access to their units on each floor. The building was designed to LEED standards, and a municipal storm water line was incorporated as a water feature cascading down the common corridor. Twelve parking spaces are provided by a stacking lift system to conserve space and circulation.
